Eleni Drake – Marina (Visualiser)

As this chapter of my life closes, another begins. ‘Surf The Sun’ was a momentous mile stone in my life. Albeit not from anyone else’s perspective, but from my own. I grew a lot as a person, i travelled parts of the world, i met amazing people, walked on this beautiful earth that mother nature has kindly offered us, threaded between different cultures and their food and way of living…only to find myself back in the UK.
I have lost people in my life who should have left a long time ago, though I have gained more wisdom, knowledge and love for myself in the process. I have made mistakes, but also learnt so much about myself. I have days where i am so painfully unkind to myself, but through keeping the wonderful souls in my life next to me, i have realised that i am worthy and have a right to breathe. I have finally reached a point in my music where things are flowing in the right direction, and i am surrounded by kind, warm and loving individuals.

Life is very weird. I have days where i don’t want to exist, and other days where i can’t wait to move my body and see what’s outside. It’s ok to have the bad days, and the even worse days, it makes the better ones so much more special. I guess what i’m trying to say is nothing profound, nothing innovative, nothing that hasn’t been said or heard before; but just have balance. Have balance in your life, have balance within yourself. No one has it all figured out, no one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. Please just do your best, and be kind to those around you, even if they are not kind back. Be good to the people you love, and be good to yourself.

Thank you all for changing my life, i reckon if it wasn’t for you guys, i really wouldn’t be here. Enjoy MARINA x
