Last week, I worked up a fingerstyle arrangement for Ray Charles’ “I Got a Woman,” and got so many requests for “Hit the Road Jack” …well, here you go! I love your requests, and try to hit as many as I can. This tune is one of my favorite Ray songs, and I had never tried to play it solo fingerstyle, so thanks for throwin’ down the challenge! The melody and bassline bounce off of each other in such a hypnotic way… and the minor key swing in the bass is just so damn groovy!
