“Mr Bojangles” Acoustic Instrumental Cover | Justin Johnson
Acoustic arrangement of “Mr Bojangles,” written & recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker in 1968, famously covered by the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1970, and by Sammy Davis Jr, who made the song part of his show for two decades.
I recorded it on an acoustic-electric Dobro resonator, Loar mandolin, Melodee reed organ, Sidekick kick drum, & tamborine,
Recorded with Recovery Effects ExMic Deluxe Telephone Microphone to dial in the lo-fi sound, and a Beyerdynamic M160 Ribbon Mic to round it out with that fat vintage quality.
It’s then all run through an API BOX console.
