Not too many people have mastered the guitar like Joe Satriani; he’s a big influence of mine. Almost all of his songs are a lot of fun to learn and play… and others are just downright impossible. This is “Satch Boogie” from his most famous album – Surfing With The Alien. I tried as best I could to get it note for note… its almost there… but I’d have to play it all day for it to be perfect.

Oh.. and I don’t have one of those ridiculous floyd rose whammy bars to get all the squeals so I just did over-the-top pinch harmonics instead. All the true Satch fans will hate me for it ;).
