So Excited – Cover of SRV’s classic instrumental track with inspiration taken from the ‘Live at the El Mocambo’ performance. Emulating Stevie’s dynamic playing is tricky in this one and adds a whole new element when trying to nail this style.

Stevie’s tone was impeccable from the El Mocambo performance, and hopefully one day I will get there. This was the best I could get from the gear that I currently own. Im running a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister 36 and D.I’ing straight into Logic Pro X where I’m also going through a stock Logic Blackface simulator. Pedal-wise I’m going through a Tubescreamer TS9 and an MXR Micro Amp.
